Leave It To Peever

 BUSHWORLD
Back to Full Blog

* Unemployment up, America down: The government is reporting unemployment at 6.1%, which in reality probably means 15-20%. The boys in Washington, among other things, can't count very well.

* Home foreclosures at record high: Welcome to BushWorld, where the term "Home Sweet Home" takes on a whole new meaning.

* Financial institutions falling faster than Bush's popularity rating: The newest to announce troubles, Lehman Brothers. Ma, get me the mattress, would ya?

* The Iraqi War, a total disaster, is still being taunted by the government as a success. I wonder what they consider some of their failures?

* Everyone acts surprised that the oil and gas industries have had the best eight years of their existence. Any wonder?

This list could go on and on concerning the screwing we're taking. Add a couple you can think of. It helps to get it out of your system.

If "Bushworld" is a new theme park, I'm not sure I want to go there?

No wonder here. With two oil men in the White House, what should one expect?

In the past, I have never believed that my vote counted. I have never believed that who sat in the White House affected my little life. In the past, I have never been more wrong. Now, I have never seen a scarier ticket than McCain/Palin. Now, I cannot shut up, even though I try, even though I lost my oldest friend shooting off my mouth. 4 more years of this lunacy or worse? How blind can we be? How can the polls really be running so neck and neck? How can this race be so close? Are we truly asleep at the wheel? What world do these conservatives live in that they will not see? How could I have been so wrong for so long, and how can they continue to be in the face of all that is as plain as the nose on their faces? Even I can see through the lies, and there has never been a slower learner than myself, if I do say so myself, but there it is, and here I am. Trying.

Hi sharingcher,
The whole thing is scary. I don't believe McCain is anywhere close to winning. At least I don't want to believe that. This is a do or die deal. We can't take 4 more years of this. People have to vote, although sometimes it hardly seems worth it. I still can't believe we let them get away with the election in 2000. I have nightmares about it. My unconscious mind can't come to terms with it. An Obama win in 2008 would sure help my sleep.

and may I add, you look lovely in tie dye, brother. with you around, I no longer "Feel like a Stranger," and I have decided if "I am going to Hell in a Bucket, at least I'm enjoying the ride..."

over 2oo shows working the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic Rock Medicine branch in the S.F. Bay Area & up & down the West Coast. Jerry knew me to nod and say "Hi," and his daughter (Annabelle) knew me to tell me what a lousy father he was. she did that a lot to any that would listen. what a long strange trip it continues to be...
