Happy 4th of July. Take advantage of it. Recommit yourself to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The revolution has started. Don't let it pass you by.

Whit, I'm not sure a cultural revolution was all that was involved. A cultural revolution would require a political component. The leaders at an given time may be capable of adjusting to cultural change, but would more than likely need to be replaced. We have chosen to do it in elections. If our election system becomes compromised, watch out. 1968 appeared that way.A President winning an election by having the state his brother is a governor of put him over the electoral college total, at the very end, is stretching it. 2004 is in question, also. 2008 better be clear.

Being old enough to recall personally, I believe you will find the Beatles were also quite political,(as well as being part of a generation that sought social change), and became more so as time went on. It is a walk in the past to see them all looking so young.
Thanks, Mr. Peever.
p.s. What the heck happened to our generations "social and political change" anyhow? It appears to me to be even worse in many ways. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Victorian Muse, Hi. We didn't finish what we started. Very disappointing. However, we still have time, although we're getting a little old for that crap.
thanks
Happy 4th

I think the Beetles were speaking of a cultural revolution, not a political one.
Glad to see you back, Peever.
They learned about what can happen first-hand. Seems we are at a point in history when we only read about revolution. Or hear. But.......

Thanks. Hope you had a good day. We partied all day. I'm getting too old for this.
They definitely did well here. I understand the British own a lot of America now. Maybe they're getting even?
Thanks, Mr. Peever.
