TRUTHENESS: THE CHARACTERISTIC OF EXPRESSING CONCEPTS ONE WISHES OR BELIEVES TO BE TRUE, DESPITE THE FACTS TO THE CONTRARY.

* Charitable organizations. Many seem to want to be for-profit. They're suppose to give things away, not sell them.
* Small, family farms.
* Politicians with at least a measurable amount of integrity.
* Sunday concerts in the park, with a potluck dinner.
* The 57 Chevy, with a 283.
* The neighborhood grocery store, in place of the neighborhood watch.
* Getting a 90 or 180 day note at the bank, with only your signature.
* No bras.
* The 50 cent hot dog.
* Unions.
* Salesmen who have the slightest knowledge about the product they are selling.
* I'd like to see more people give a damn.

* Some people say I'm negative. I say it's good to have doubts. I don't like sugar-coated nonsense. There is no nobler a task than in upsetting the status quo.
* I have serious doubts about people who hide behind Christianity to promote right-winged Republicanism. I do not think it is a good idea to interweave political ideology with religion. I deeply admire Christ and his teachings. I hate to see them perverted.
* When a country goes so far downhill, as we have, something has to be wrong. When the engine in my car is not working, I get it fixed or get rid of it.
* I believe when it comes right down to it, human beings are inherently good and nonviolent by inclination. When you look around, that's definitely an optimistic viewpoint.
* I continue to believe you cannot kill people and expect good to come of it.
* I still don't think terrorists are the most dangerous people we need to worry about.
* I don't think the people running Washington are fundamentally good. I hardly ever think that of anyone.
* Capitalism cannot work with democracy, as it has developed. They are not compatible. One calls for justice, equal opportunity, and compassion. The other calls for screwing anyone in sight.
* Still, this country is worth doubting over. We could be so much more than we are.
