To all those persons who are busting their butts off trying to make ends meet on minimum wage, you are to be admired and congratulated. Yours is a tough time and an exploited one. To single mothers who must spend all of your money on health-care, child-care, and keeping an old beater running, keep your head held high and your spirit up. Look out for yourself and your children and take the best employment deal you can find. Things can, and will, get better. Don't apologize for nothing. This is not an easy time. We have stepped back into the nineteenth century. We are suffering through a Bush induced Dark Age. Keep the faith. We will overcome even this. Together.

LET'S DECLARE A DAY OF PROTESTING THE WAR ON APRIL 16. IN 1971, VIETNAM VETERANS THREW THEIR METALS AT CONGRESS IN A POWERFUL ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATION ON THAT DATE. IN THEIR HONOR, AND FOR ALL WHO HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED OR WERE WOUNDED IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ, PLEASE POST SOME TYPE OF ANTI-WAR MESSAGE, OR HOW THE WAR HAS AFFECTED YOU PERSONALLY, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW. POST A PROTEST SONG WITH IT, IF YOU CAN. PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF YOU WHO GET A LOT OF VISITORS ON YOUR SITE. IT'S THE LEAST WE CAN DO.

That's what they are. Bush and his henchmen. Dream eaters. We long for life, and they give us death. We work our butts off to make a living, and they make us poor. We beg for the truth, and all we get are lies. We want our children to be educated and able to compete with the rest of the world, and all we get is a war budget that leaves every child behind. Prisoners are tortured into confessions. Global disaster is laughed at and rebuked by Bush's make-believe science and scientists. They fire perfectly competent people so they can replace them with their own right-wing robots. They hate diversity. They despise differentness. They spy on us because they are scared of us. They fear us because we know who they are: dream eaters.

Listening to the song on my previous post today, I have decided to appeal to other Blogstream bloggers and attempt to set up a day of protest. How about everyone posting an anti-war statement and a song, similar to the one I posted today. Anyone interested, please comment and suggest a date. I think it would be something real good for us to do. Some of you more popular bloggers will need to back this. Hopefully, it will appeal to you. Thanks in advance. The Peever
